About KPI Report Builder

Every week someone exports the same CSV files, pastes them into a spreadsheet, works out what changed and writes a few lines about why. This plugin does that in Claude Code, with exact numbers and without made-up reasons.

/kpi-setup profiles your exports and writes kpis.json: your KPIs, filters, formulas such as orders / sessions, and targets. /kpi-report <period> writes a Markdown report for a week, month, quarter or date range. It has a scorecard with change and target status, commentary on what moved and why, anomaly flags, and small SVG charts saved next to it. /explain-change <metric> shows which segments drove a change, and splits a ratio into mix and rate effects.

A bundled Node.js helper does all the arithmetic: sums, counts, averages, ratios, partial-period comparisons, projections, z-score anomaly flags and driver breakdowns. Causes come only from your own event log or what you tell Claude. Anything else is labelled as a guess.

Inside: three commands, a skill for quick questions, the helper, a kpis.json reference, a starter KPI library for shops, SaaS, marketing and support, a commentary guide, and two months of sample shop and GA4-style data with every output.

Limits: CSV only, one currency per config, sources joined only by date and mapped dimensions, and times of day are ignored. It is a management report, not an accounting record.
