# Facebook Group Admin Agent

A free agent kit for people who run Facebook Groups, including local buy, sell and trade groups.

**Setup.** It writes:
- the group's purpose and numbered rules, each with a consequence;
- membership questions and a welcome post;
- post formats, including a sale post;
- weekly engagement threads.

**Moderation.** Paste the queue and it gives back:
- a decision for every post, comment, member request and report, citing the rule;
- a kind, private message to send;
- admin log rows;
- the patterns to fix.

It knows the common group scams, such as deposit requests, WhatsApp "cheaper" comments and verification-code tricks.

## Setup

### ChatGPT (GPT Builder)
1. In ChatGPT, go to Explore GPTs, then Create.
2. Open the Configure tab. Name it "Facebook Group Admin Agent".
3. Paste the full text of `instructions.md` into Instructions.
4. Under Knowledge, upload the files in `knowledge/`.
5. Add the conversation starters from `starters.md`, then save.

### Claude (Projects)
1. In Claude, create a new Project.
2. Paste the full text of `instructions.md` into the project instructions.
3. Add the files in `knowledge/` to the project knowledge.
4. Start a chat in the project.

### Google Gemini (Gems)
1. In Gemini, open Gems and create a new Gem.
2. Paste the full text of `instructions.md` into the instructions box.
3. Add the files in `knowledge/` as knowledge files, then save.

### Claude Code
1. Copy `claude-code/agents/facebook-group-admin-agent.md` to `~/.claude/agents/` (all projects) or `<project>/.claude/agents/` (one project).
2. Optional: copy the `knowledge/` folder into your project, for example `docs/facebook-group-admin-agent/knowledge/`. The subagent looks for `**/facebook-group-admin-agent/knowledge/*.md`.
3. Ask: "Use the facebook-group-admin-agent subagent to review today's queue in group/queue.md against group/rules.md."

## How to customize

- **Your rules:** keep your final numbered rules in `knowledge/group-rules-library.md`, so decisions cite the right numbers.
- **Your ladder:** change the first-time and repeat actions in `knowledge/moderation-playbook.md` to match your admins' agreement.
- **Your banned items:** add your group's own list under the prohibited items rule.

## Limitations

- It can't see your group or member profiles. It works from what you paste.
- It doesn't approve, remove or block anything.
- Group tools and Facebook's policies change. Check your group settings and the current Community Standards and Commerce Policies.
- It isn't legal advice. Report threats and child-safety issues to Facebook and the local authorities.
