About Meeting Notes to Action Items

After most meetings, someone has to work out what was actually decided and who agreed to do what. Notes are rough, transcripts are long, and the recap email often never goes out.

This free agent kit reads your notes or a raw transcript and sorts it into decisions, action items, open questions and risks. Each action item gets an owner, a due date (relative dates like "Friday" become real dates) and a status, with a timestamp or short quote so you can check it. Proposals nobody agreed to stay as open questions, not decisions.

It never invents an owner or a date. When one is missing, it marks it with a question mark and asks you. It leaves out "off the record" remarks and personal details. Then it drafts a recap email that matches the tables.

Inside: the agent instructions, an extraction guide (signal phrases, owner and date rules, shorthand, sensitive content), recap email templates for team, client, executive and chat posts, conversation starters, a Claude Code subagent that reads .txt, .md, .vtt and .srt transcripts, and a worked example.

Limitations: it only knows what's in the notes, can't identify unnamed speakers, and sends nothing. It produces a working summary, not official minutes.
