Break Planner
Claude Code plugin for card breakers: spot prices from your cost, weights and fees, profit and breakeven, a pre-break run sheet and a recap of hits for buyers.
About Break Planner
Pricing a break by feel is risky. A case costs real money, platform fees and shipping come out of every spot, and the spots that don't sell are yours to pay for. After the break, buyers expect a clear record of what each spot got.
/break-plan takes your product cost and a spots file with your own demand weights (for example each team's key cards on the checklist). It adds your platform's commission and processing, shipping per spot, other costs and your target margin. It prices every spot for a pick-your-team break, or one price for a random break, rounded the way you choose. It shows profit if every spot sells, the sales needed to break even, and how many of the top spots get you there.
/break-checklist writes a run sheet for that break: rules to confirm, product proof, posting the full spot list, recording, the hit log and shipping. /break-recap turns your hit log into a table of every spot with its price and hits, flagging hits logged to a spot that isn't on the list.
Inside: three commands, a skill, a Node.js helper (no packages), notes on choosing weights and fee inputs, and sample data with both break types, a run sheet, a recap and tests.
Limitations: it uses only the numbers you enter and doesn't predict hits. Fees are applied to spot prices only. It doesn't connect to any platform or run a randomizer. It isn't legal advice: rules on breaks, especially random ones, vary by platform and place.

--- name: break-math description: Pricing and paperwork for sports card and trading card breaks (group breaks, case breaks, pick-your-team, pick-your-spot and random team breaks). Works out spot prices from the breaker's product cost, demand weights, platform fees, shipping, other costs and target margin; profit if every spot sells; the breakeven and how many spots cover it; a pre-break run sheet; and a hit-by-hit recap for buyers. Use when the user says things like "price my break", "how much should each team cost", "what do I need to charge to break even on this case", "random team price", "make a break recap", or is planning or wrapping up a break. It uses only the user's numbers and doesn't give legal advice on breaks. --- # Break maths ## Bundled files | File | When to use it | |---|---| | `scripts/break.mjs` | `plan` gives spot prices, profit and breakeven. `recap` gives hits per spot. It never says what a spot will pull. 3. **Transparency.** Encourage full spot lists, product proof, recorded openings and a posted recap. Never help h …
